Cascadia Folk Quartet

Left to right: Lawrence Huntley (hammer dulcimer, bass*), Chip Cohen (fiddle, bass), Kevin Shay Johnson (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Mick Doherty (hammer dulcimer, bass)

The quartet has been touring from California to Montana since the early 1990's. We play instrumental dance tunes from around the western hemisphere. Square and contra dance tunes as well as music from Europe and Latin America along with homemade tunes. We sing traditional music and homemade songs.

We enjoy playing music for private engagements of all sorts, as well as public concerts. If you'd like to hire the band, get in touch.

* When busking or playing high energy dance music, the hammer dulcimer can be a workout. Lawrence says that in our band, "playing the bass is the next best thing to taking a break."
